Energy Vampires and Negativity Effecting Your Results

Do you see a face? Or do you see the liar in the face?

Life is full of surprises and within this nation of skeptics it is predictable what type of comments and feedback you will receive. Now you would believe feedback to be constructive and even a guide post for those issues and areas of your personal and business affairs you need to adjust, correct, modify or fix.

Have you ever been on Craigslist.com? If ever you wanted to find the most skeptical, judgemental and angry people this is where the rubber meets the road. Hard to believe from such a useful site although you put a free site out there and any body can comment on just about anyone’s post you get text crawling out of the woodwork you don’t even see used in notes to ruthless dictators or even criminal like Bernie Madoff who have stolen the life savings of many innocent retirees.

This is one of those spaces I learned what the word “flamming” really meant and what behaviors people enroll in their lives when they can remain anonymous while slinging mud and be self righteous in their own world. If you want to stay clear of the negativity and away from the rageaholics you want to limit your time and exposure on Craigslist and your exposure to the dregs that lurk there.

As you see people act on their own references, often without the presence of learning or even trying to understanding the truth. There is a story I heard about a man on the subway with two of his children where they were just letting loose as children sometimes do. A passenger can’t take it anymore and reams the father out and says “can’t you control your children? After a hard day at work some of us paying riders really can do without kids gone wild on the same train!”

The father answers “Oh, I didn’t notice. My apologies. We are just returning from the hospital where they just saw their mother for the last time as she just passed away from her bout with cancer. I guess I was just pre-occupied and notice them disturbing you“. Knowing this information how now would you treat or approach this situation? How would you approach it without knowing this second part of the details?

So many are quick to judge, so many form prejudices from their lack and even intent to not really care to know the facts or understand. In life compassion, understanding, and empathy are valiant and human traits. Sociopathic tendencies and self serving truisms are the deconstruction of society and what makes one inhuman, or insensitive. You know the sad truth sometimes life is harsh and insensitive - its life’s lessons.. hard and cold. But, does that mean you need to treat other with such dissention, disrespect or prejudice that it creates low vibrational energy or a negative space?

Be at one with others, not as oneself

There are studies showing living in a stress free, especially happy, state of being reduces health and physical challenges and increases your well being. Why would any rational person want add to your own destruction of health or to the demise of the health of others as an energy vampire or negative force in this world? There are several questions, some include what is going on inside is what is being manifested outside. Other reasons is the person is seeking significance by making others look small or insignificant. It is as the mouse that tried roaring.. know this story as told by Brian Tracy?

A Lion roared one day and the Tiger asked him why he was roaring? The Lion said he did it to let the other animals know he was king of the jungle. A nearby mouse overheard this discussion and couldn’t wait to get back home. When he got back home he tried roaring at the top of his lungs. Coincidentally, a Fox was strolling by  at the same time he was roaring. The Fox inspected where the noise was coming from and thereafter enjoyed a nice mouse buffet. What happened here? Don’t try being someone you’re not, or one day you will learn the hard way that the person you are you may always be and some will see right through any pose. Change is possible, although for those who only see the world and others one way there is no change just the same of the same.

When you can live free of who you think you are and be who you really are and can be, it will become abundantly clear what your destiny will be. Everything in your life is shaped by the decisions you make right now. Your destiny is determined in the heartbeat and within the moment you decide. Those who prejudge others, remain limited in belief and awareness, live in a low standard in their quality of life. They live with excuses, project onto others, and never get to the next level, connect with others in unconditional ways nor live with abundance in the ways only open to those who live with a full heart and unshakeable soul.

We can either be the victim or be the change that is the force for good. Leaders are the change, those who will reap the rewards of fulfillment are those who resonate in a capacity in alignment and clarity they share with others. So those who try to suck your energy, are constant skeptics with no warranted reason or foundation, those who are bias and prejudice.. let them know their stinking thinkin’ is just hardening their attitudes and get as far away from them as possible for you are the sum average of the five people you spend most of your time with.

Surround yourself with quality people who will support you, act within integrity, are not judgemental, and those who live at a higher frequency in life and watch the results begin taking shape in your life!

‘Now’ is Change - The Era of Barak Obama, A New Beginning

Welcome to 2009!

In a land of confusion; in an economy that despairs, sputters and creates apprehension; in a landscape of bankruptcies, company closings and people being laid off, there is still hope, promise and inspiration.

Watching the Inaugural for Barak Obama showed this occasion was more than about his winning the bid in becoming President. More importantly it is our nation’s moment in history he has become an icon for. As onlookers cheered, cried, hugged and applauded you could see in their eyes this was a pivotal point in their lives, it was this benchmark representing the promise of change and a new tomorrow with new beginnings.

It is said “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results“. With what has crossed a threshold in the lives of many hopes rise, visions become a bit more clear, and more importantly the many are inspired to do more, be more and be a force for change. We are at a touch point to motivate others, to show others there is always a chance to be who you want to be, you just need to apply yourself, feel the courage to persevere and take the necessary action to achieve your outcomes.

Here is a quote that is so succinct and powerful yet so true today as it was when President John F. Kennedy made it… “And so my fellow Americans ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for you country. My fellow citizens of the world ask not what America can for you but what together we can do for the freedom of man“.  It is about empowerment, it is about people starving for leadership and guidance. Here we have an American leader stepping up and bringing clarity to a deep seated hunger within each when fear and trepidation roams free through the minds of those with little hope, those who have battered and beat down, and those who are lost.

What this says is leaders don’t follow, they step up! There are followers there are leaders. The question is, are you a leader or a follower? Within life we possess both roles. It is not good nor bad although those who step up more often to be leaders are the heroes and unsung heroes who defy the odds and live a life no one can understand except other exceptional leaders. From the landing of US Air in the Hudson river without a single life lost of the 255 on board, or the man who jumped onto a subway track in NYC to save a passenger from an oncoming train, these are just the tip of the iceberg of stories you read and see of heroism and those who take the lead when in need.

Demand more from your life. Raise your standards and make your life and incredible legacy that breathes life into the heart and souls of others. Be the inspiration! Be the light! Be one with elements of contribution and leadership! The world lacks heroes who step up but we all know they are there. Leaders become heroes and often so do followers, but it takes commitment, taking risks, and taking action.

May this 20th day in January 2009 be the pivotal point in your life! Not because America’s new President was sworn in but because it represents a time when the followers and masses are ready for a new beginning, leadership and results.

Empowering and Unleashing Results

When all worlds meet and the Earth rises to touch the sky we witness the greatness of our own ascension. One spirit, one heart and a shared vision. This is the foundation to empowerment and creating a powerful driving force for good and a grounded self. It is within the connection with others many seek to gain in humankind that make us human and part of the society we are part of.

Powermastery began as a thought. It was from the ramparts of empowerment I peered at so many searching for the answers, to find meaning in their lives, to be one and to be all. Bar none to the silence that is the requiem within when we exclude what is all great within our souls and squander the timeless moments we may never feel again we overlook that which binds us, connects us and brings meaning to fulfillment. Do you complete yourself, or perhaps do others complete you?

Your greatness and sense of self can be summed up in the life you lead and how much you have accomplished not in your lifetime but in a moment. The moment it takes to create a smile, the moment it takes for you to shine bright, or the moment of decision and then moment of action and empowerment.

In three months from conception to execution 20 presenters from around the world were brought together to participate at the Powermastery’s Empowerment Conference and Retreat. 100 were in attendance were for a first time untested event and paid several hundred dollars and took a weekend of time to travel to and to be part of it. At the event many lives were literally transformed and a powerful new family of friends and brothers and sisters in arms were born. How to Quickly Destroy A Relationship Via Internet

Do you have customers, potential customers, people who can refer you work or business, or have contacts who can help you someone down the road in any part of your life? Wouldn’t you want a referral from Elmer J Fudd, the millionaire who owns and mansion and a yacht (as he would say in Bugs Bunny)?

This is about how in a business sense, and personal, you can easily sabotage the foundation of a relationship you have with others who can drive business to your doorstep or can be a incredible force in your life if not now in the future. It is also about how we can easily be misunderstood or miscommunicate. Now this may not pertain to drug dealers or serial killers, ticket maids, or tax collectors.

Over the past year I have been more involved in passing along helpful information, and events. Much of these I found free, valuable and credible. You can receive and share your useful insights, feedback, comments and first hand experience (that is not self serving spam) at www.powermastery.com .

How do you sub consciously or myoptically sabotage your life and success? Certainly replicating one of the stunts on Jackass would be one, although this example is from my first hand experience. I can attest many will share a similar reaction. You have some information you feel useful or important to others. You decide to share it with those who you have already met at an networking event. You send it out and a curt note comes back.

Lets rewind a bit to an earlier point - the person handed you their business card in the past. What does this mean? Stay in touch, call me, connect with me, share what you have with me, lets shag, etc. Further they write their email on their business card. To most of us who are not from Mars it would seem obvious the person wanted to stay connected via email.

If you don’t like what someone emails to you, who you have met or share a business or personal relationship with, you either delete the email or you ask them them politely to not send emails to you any more. Email is a very impersonal and cold way to communicate. Being that many don’t read emails carefully makes the issue even more challenging. Internalization of a what is delivered occurs, misunderstandings or mis-communications come as easy as just a single word read out of syntax.

As a busy business person who gives many people the benefit of a doubt I hold very little tolerance for for those who are rude, have low integrity, or are just takers in life. With one rude email I delete and tag the individual as someone I would never refer business to nor do business with in several lifetimes. There are many others who perform the same service or the same product (usually). What are you willing to invite and accept in your life and business? Those I refer business to I respect and vice a versa.. as someone said once “if you lay down to sleep with a flea ridden dog, chances are you’re gonna wind up with fleas” - fact. Lay down in a bed of roses and what to you wake up smelling like?

The message: treat others the way you would want to be treated and never under estimate the worth of how you craft your message especially if you cut corners to summarily cut people off or your are curt with them in this impersonal correspondence medium. Your communication style is a reflection of you and how the person sees you. Your communication style can make you smell like roses, or sink your ship faster than solid lead in water with your business relationships.

Sometimes those who are rude are intentionally rude, hostile, angry or just raging. When you have two actions or more in the same framework that indicate a particular demeanor you can safely assess what frame of mind the person was when they created it. For example if someone received an email from you about a open house you were having to showcase how to use something and one person who has provided you an email while networking summarily sends you back an email saying “TAKE MY NAME OFF YOUR LIST!!!” How do you read this? It is curt, it is in all caps, it has exclamation points, and is based on a false assumption and accuses you of it without knowing the facts. The ironic thing is the name of the company is “The Door Opener”. Are you laughing yet?? Is that a Jekyll Hyde poise on the title where they say one thing but conduct their affairs differently, inconsistently from the image of what the image professes to elicit for the business? Okay, Duh? How do you open doors by being rude and discourteous to others?

The flip side of this is “Thank you for your email. Could you please remove me from your emails at this time?” What emotion does this bring up versus the first one. This is just my opinion. I find it a better business decision not to burn bridges unless the person has absolutely proved to me there is no other way to communicate with them and they are real low on integrity to the point of being a sociopath.

By the way if sales people are calling on you, remember they are just doing their job to earn a living. Of course if they are rude and over the top with you certainly they need to be locked in room a subjected to William Shatner songs playing at full volume while being forced to watch Paris Hilton acting in full length videos. Otherwise, the person contacting you to share information about their product or service is just doing their thing, the same as you or I may be at some point - sales is not reserved for just sales people. What goes around comes around.

Creating A Power Network of Peers

This may come as no surprise to many and yet the many still live and die by the fact they complain about the situation they are in, the same old same old, and they are getting no where. Your environment plays a huge roll in your destiny. If you want to be at the top of your game, if you want to rise to the top, do more than you could ever believe imaginable one part of the formula is simple.. surround yourself with positive successful people who have accomplished or on the way to what you seek to achieve.

 You are the sum average of the five people you surround yourself with on a daily basis and hang with. Reflect a bit and see if you see yourself like your peer group. This could be good, bad or indifferent yet absolutely true.

 One of the areas I am involved is creating platforms for people to transform in a positive manner. What do you think happens if you offer someone a solution to a age old dilemma they are comfortable in yet are always complaining about the results in their life, their life or life in general. This provides a “clue” that perhaps this person is not on the track they truly want to be and perhaps may want to do something differently to shift the results they are getting or not getting in life. A one degree shift is the difference between hot water at 211 degrees that does nothing other than scald and burn you and steam at 212 degrees which can move thousand ton locomotives and steam boats.

 Ever heard of Craigslist? I went to check out some information to locate staff for an event and found the most incredibly negative and hostile comments and discourse on their forums. I can say it was a disgusting show of some of those who have nothing better to do than to bash other people who they don’t know and have never met before in their lives. Creating a negative environment just perpetrates more of the same and here is an insight.. people don’t hang around too long with those who are toxic in fear of being poisoned. And so we find those who are the true circle we would want around us but at what cost?

 I’d like to introduce you to an Empowerment Conference and Retreat that is bringing together the people, the leaders and the atmosphere to foster positivity, possibility thinking, action based on “I can” instead of “you can’t” or “you shouldn’t”. Chengdu China - How I Cheated Death

This may be one of the most incredible stories you ever heard. It is about someone snatching victory from the jaws of death. More than enough people have experienced adversity and lived to tell the story. This is not however, not about that it is my story about an amazing consequence that could have put me in the morgue or created massive damage to my physical being and a number of others who I would have been leading.

About a year ago I planned a group trip the China. We worked out an elaborate schedule with stops in every breathtaking and back village area to get the sense of life outside the commercial enterprise. This would have put us up in shantys and the bare necessities in villages where phones are shared in town centers or at the village center and the lavatory facilities was just a hole in the ground.

My agenda was to fly into Hong Kong on May 5 and then work our way around central China until May 26, 2008 when we would depart after a short stay in Macau, Kowloon and Hong Kong. This is where the story gets interesting.. we planned to travel to where the Karsts are that you see in Chinese paintings as well as visit the famous Pandas at the most celebrated sites for Panda research in the world. Erie as it seems we were scheduled to be in Chengdu, China and in the Sichaun province the night and morning when the earthquake and 300+ aftershocks hit which flattened a number of buildings and destroyed a large area..

Looking over my schedule today after hearing the news about an Earthquake in China. It was an awakening thought hearing I would have been at the site of a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that claimed 9,000 lives. Oddly my trip to China was canceled just weeks before May 12. We again were scheduled to be Chengdu from May 10 - May 12 with departure to Yichang the next morning when the earthquake hit. I cheated death! If the trip was a go with the 20 others I was leading there I could have been an earthquake victim with worse even if the only part of me under the rubble was a toe tag to identify me.

What does this tell you about how you should live life each and every day? Why wait for who knows what tomorrow has in store for you. CHENGDU, China - A powerful earthquake toppled buildings, schools and chemical plants Monday in central China, killing more than 8,700 people and trapping untold numbers in mounds of concrete, steel and earth in the country’s worst quake in three decades.

The 7.9-magnitude quake devastated a region of small cities and towns set amid steep hills north of Sichuan’s provincial capital of Chengdu. Striking in midafternoon, it emptied office buildings across the country in Beijing and could be felt as far away as Vietnam.

Snippets from state media and photos posted on the Internet underscored the immense scale of the devastation. In the town of Juyuan, south of the epicenter, a three-story high school collapsed, burying as many as 900 students and killing at least 50, the official Xinhua news agency said. Photos showed people using cranes, mechanical hoists and their hands to remove slabs of concrete and steel.

Buried teenagers struggled to break free from the rubble, “while others were crying out for help,” Xinhua said. Families waited in the rain near the wreckage as rescuers wrote the names of the dead on a blackboard, Xinhua said.

Parents of the dead students built makeshift religious altars at the site, resting the corpses on any available piece of plywood or cardboard, and burning paper money and incense in a traditional honor for their child in the afterlife, according to NPR’s Melissa Block.

The earthquake hit one of the last homes of the giant panda at the Wolong Nature Reserve and panda breeding center, in Wenchuan county, which remained out of contact, Xinhua said.

In Chengdu, it crashed telephone networks and hours later left parts of the city of 10 million in darkness.

“We can’t get to sleep. We’re afraid of the earthquake. We’re afraid of all the shaking,” said 52-year-old factory worker Huang Ju, who took her ailing, elderly mother out of the Jinjiang District People’s Hospital. Outside, Huang sat in a wheelchair wrapped in blankets while her mother, who was ill, slept in a hospital bed next to her.

Xinhua reported 8,533 people died in Sichuan alone and 216 others in three other provinces and the mega-city of Chongqing.

Worst affected were four counties including the quake’s epicenter in Wenchuan, 60 miles northwest of Chengdu. Landslides left roads impassable Tuesday, causing the government to order soldiers into the area on foot, state television said, and heavy rain prevented four military helicopters from landing.

Wenchuan’s Communist Party secretary appealed for air drops of tents, food and medicine. “We also need medical workers to save the injured people here,” Xinhua quoted Wang Bin as telling other officials who reached him by phone.

To the east, in Beichuan county, 80 percent of the buildings fell, and 10,000 people were injured, aside from 3,000 to 5,000 dead, Xinhua said. State media said two chemical plants in an industrial zone of the city of Shifang collapsed, burying hundreds of people and spilling more than 80 tons of toxic liquid ammonia.

Though slow to release information at first, the government and its state media ramped up quickly. Nearly 20,000 soldiers, police and reservists were sent to the disaster area.

Disasters always pose a test for the communist government, whose mandate rests heavily on maintaining order, delivering economic growth, and providing relief in emergencies.

Pressure for a rapid response was particularly intense this year, with the government already grappling with public discontent over high inflation and a widespread uprising among Tibetans in western China while trying to prepare for the Aug. 8-24 Beijing Olympics.

“I am particularly saddened by the number of students and children affected by this tragedy,” President Bush said in a statement.

International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge sent his condolences to President Hu Jintao, adding: “The Olympic Movement is at your side, especially during these difficult moments. Our thoughts are with you.”

Premier Wen Jiabao, a geologist by training, called the quake “a major geological disaster,” and traveled to the disaster area to oversee rescue and relief operations.

“Hang on a bit longer. The troops are rescuing you,” Wen shouted to people buried in the Traditional Medicine Hospital in the city of Dujiangyan, on the road to Wenchuan, in comments broadcast by CCTV.

“As long as there was a slightest hope, we should make our effort a hundred times and we will never relax,” he said outside the collapsed school in Juyuan.

The quake was the deadliest since one in 1976 in the city of Tangshan near Beijing that killed 240,000 — although some reports say as many as 655,000 perished — the most devastating in modern history. A 1933 quake near where Monday’s struck killed at least 9,000, according to geologists.

Monday’s quake occurred on a fault where South Asia pushes against the Eurasian land mass, smashing the Sichuan plain into mountains leading to the Tibetan highlands — near communities that held sometimes violent protests of Chinese rule in mid-March.

Much of the area has been closed to foreign media and travelers since then, compounding the difficulties of getting information. Roads north from Chengdu to the disaster area were sealed off early Tuesday to all but emergency convoys.

In Chengdu, the region’s commercial center, the airport closed for seven hours, reopening only for emergency and a few outbound flights. A major railway line to the northeast was ruptured, stranding about 10,000 passengers, Xinhua said. Although most of the power had been restored by nightfall, phone and Internet service was spotty and some neighborhoods remained without power and water.

Nervous residents spent the night outside, some playing cards or heading to the suburbs. State media, citing the Sichuan seismology bureau, reported 313 aftershocks.

“Traffic jams, no running water, power outs, everyone sitting in the streets, patients evacuated from hospitals sitting outside and waiting,” said Ronen Medzini, an Israeli student in Chengdu, via text message.

When it hit shortly before 2:30 p.m., the quake rumbled for nearly three minutes, witnesses said, driving people into the streets in panic.

“It was really scary to be on the 26th floor in something like that,” said Tom Weller, a 49-year-old American oil and gas consultant staying at the Holiday Inn. “You had to hold on to something like that or you’d fall over. It shook for so long and so violently, you wondered how long the building would be able to stand this.”

While most buildings in the city held up, those in the countryside tumbled. On the outskirts of Chongqing, a school collapsed, killing at least five people. Residents said teachers kept the children inside, thinking it was safer.

The city of Mianyang ordered all able-bodied males under 50 to take water and tools and walk or drive to Beichuan, where most of the buildings had collapsed.

State TV broadcast tips for anyone trapped in the earthquake. “If you’re buried, keep calm and conserve your energy. Seek water and food, and wait patiently for rescue,” CCTV said.

Although initially measured at 7.8 magnitude, the U.S. Geological Survey later revised its assessment of the quake to 7.9. Its depth — about six miles below the surface, according to the USGS — gave the tremor such wide impact, geologists said.

The earthquake also rattled buildings in Beijing, 930 miles to the north, causing evacuations of office towers. People ran screaming into the streets in other cities, where many residents said they had never felt an earthquake.

In Beijing, where hundreds of thousands of foreign visitors are expected for the Olympics, stadiums, arenas and other venues for the games were undamaged.

Li Jiulin, a top engineer on the 91,000-seat National Stadium — known as the Bird’s Nest and the jewel of the Olympics — was conducting a site inspection when the quake struck. He told reporters the building was designed to withstand a 8.0 quake.

“The Olympic venues were not affected by the earthquake,” said Sun Weide, a spokesman for the Beijing organizing committee. “We considered earthquakes when building those venues.”

Some 660 miles to the east in Anhui province, chandeliers swayed in the lobby of the Buckingham Palace Hotel. “We’ve never felt anything like this our whole lives,” said a hotel employee surnamed Zhu.

The massive Three Gorges dam, the world’s largest about 350 miles to the east of the epicenter, was not affected, according to the information office of State Council Three Gorges Construction Committee. The area around the enormous dam remains increasingly precarious as rising waters in the reservoir have led to landslides.

Premier Wen, after arriving in Chengdu, traveled to Dujiangyan, near the collapsed high school. On his plane, he appealed for people to rally together.

“This is an especially challenging task,” state TV showed Wen saying, reading from a statement. “In the face of the disaster, what’s most important is calmness, confidence, courage and powerful command.”
